Valve has announced that it has now started selling Steam Decks that have been officially refurbished. In a blog post making the announcement, Valve has stated that it will be certifying refurbished Steam Deck to ensure that they have been put through extensive examination with over 100 tests.

Steam Decks that have been officially refurbished by Valve will include the same one-year warranty as a brand new Steam Deck, as well as a refurbished and fully tested power supply, and a carrying case and Quick Start guide.

Refurbished Steam Decks, as you might expect, are available at lower prices when compared to brand new Steam Decks. The 64GB model is priced at $319 for the refurbished release, compared to $399 for a brand new one. Similarly, the 256GB model is available at $419 down from $529, and the 512GB model is available at $519 down from $649.

It us worth noting that, while the hardware itself will go through extensive testing, Valve has stated that refurbished Steam Decks might include minor cosmetic blemishes and scratches in some spots.
