After taking players to a truncated open world version of the entire United States in The Crew and its sequel, with The Crew Motorfest, Ubisoft Ivory Tower is transpoting players to a new setting in the Hawaiian island of Oahu, and in a new developer diary, members of the development team have offered more insight into what to expect.

Something that Ubisoft Ivory Tower has emphasized time and again is the topographical and environmental variety that Oahu will boast, from lush rainforests and the slopes of a volcano to vibrant cities and pristine, glistening beaches. With a Forza Horizon-style racing festival also now at the core of the experience, you can also expect plenty of, well, festivities all around the island.

The map will also feature a Festival Area, which will serve as a social hub for players to gather and show off and trade their customized part, and engage in a variety of other activities, like a massive double loop to race on, drag races, drift races, and more. Check out the video below for more details.

The Crew Motorfest launches on September 14 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
