Fans of Alan Wake 2 have been waiting for quite a long time to see the game finally come to fruition. It was back in April of this year that we last heard from Remedy Entertainment’s Sam Lake. Back then he was hopeful there would actually be a sequel to the game but it doesn’t appear there has been much movement from this spring.

“I remain enthusiastic and optimistic, and if you ask me it’s going to happen,” Lake said in a recent interview with Game Informer about the highly anticipated sequel. “But, obviously before anything actually happens nothing is certain.” Lake added he and his team have been talking to a number of different people about different details but there haven’t been any agreements signed or anything that concrete. It should be pointed out that Lake’s comments could actually be thought of as a bit contradictory, but that’s nothing entirely new.

Earlier this month, Lake talked to Game Informer about the game and during that particular interview he made it clear he intended to bring the game to market. If he is able to finally get this game made, it will be the end of a pretty long journey. The first Alan Wake was released back in 2010 on the Xbox 360 and by all accounts, if this game was to finally come to market, it seems as though Alan Wake 2 would be coming to the Xbox One as well. Stay tuned to see if Lake can actually make the game happen.
