Immortals of Aveum

Ascendant Studios’ Immortals of Aveum was set to launch this month but faced a delay to August 22nd. CEO and game director Bret Robbins said more details would be revealed in the weeks leading to release, which includes a new combat breakdown – the video debuts on July 6th at 9 AM PST on YouTube.

It purports to detail the first-person combat, with three different Colors of magic (Red, Green and Blue), with 25 Spells to choose from. Players can customize protagonist Jak with more than 80 Talents and several magical gear pieces.

Chapters 3 and 8 were captured during a hands-on session at Summer Game Fest Play Days last month. It provided a closer look at the overall flow of combat, using different Colors against specific enemies and exploiting mobility to traverse the battlefield. Check it out here.

Immortals of Aevum is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S and PC. Stay tuned for more details when the combat breakdown goes live.
