Rockfish Games have big ambitions with the upcoming Everspace 2The first game was a well-received one as it is, but with the sequel, it looks like things will be bigger and better. On top of a large open world universe to explore, RPG mechanics also promise to make things more interesting. The game’s looking promising in every bit that we’ve seen of it so far, and recently, at the PC Gaming Show, we got to see another new trailer.

The trailer shows plenty of beautiful environments, from desert planets to outer space, as well as some slick looking flight and combat gameplay. More importantly, the trailer also confirms that a closed alpha of the game will be kicking off on Steam very, very soon- on June 15th, to be more precise. Check out the trailer below.

Everspace 2 was originally going to enter early access later this year, but to avoid competition with fellow sci-fi shooter RPGs Cyberpunk 2077 and The Outriders, developers Rockfish Games delayed that to September.

You can get more details on the game in our interview with the developers through here.
