Armored Core 6 Fires of Rubicon

New gameplay footage for FromSoftware’s Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon was revealed, courtesy of IGN Japan for the Summer of Gaming. It showcases aspects of the upcoming action-adventure title, from combat against regular enemies to exploration and a boss fight. Check it out below.

Right away, the combat is much faster-paced than a Souls-like, with players able to dash or activate thrusters to cover greater distances quickly. You can unleash rockets and rifle shots to damage enemies and quickly close with a saber (or punt them off into the void). Though not open world, the industrial environment is large with different elevations.

The customization is also briefly seen with slots for multiple weapons (like Plasma Missiles) or swapping out limbs and changing the Armored Core’s colors. It ends with a boss wielding all kinds of fire weapons and, despite its size, moving extremely fast.

Armored Core 6: Fires of Rubicon is out on August 25th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PS4 and PC. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
