The movie Aliens was released on July 11, 1979, and based on the movie, the first game was released in 1982 for the Atari 2600. The fact that the franchise keeps pumping out new games 44 years after the launch of the first title is quite an achievement. Given how ugly (and dangerous) those facehuggers are, people certainly can’t get enough of them.

Aliens: Dark Descent, an RTS game, is the latest member to join this ever-increasing collection of horrors. In this guide, we’ll be revealing how many chapters there are and how much time you should reserve in order to finish this title.

Aliens: Dark Descent Chapters

Including the Prologue, there are a total of 13 chapters in the game, each containing several primary and secondary objectives.

How long to beat Aliens: Dark Descent?

Depending on the overall difficulty setting, experience, and playstyle, the completion of the game can take somewhere between 13-30 hours.

The tutorials require about 30 minutes, and each of the objectives thereafter takes somewhere between 25 minutes and an hour.

For an average player focusing solely on the main objectives, you’ll be done in about 13-15 hours. However, if you’re a completionist, then finishing the entire game can take more than 30 hours.
