Alan Wake 2 Domain Registered, Upcoming Announcement from Remedy?

Posted By | On 04th, Jul. 2012

Alan Wake was an interesting case of expectations. No one knew what to really expect, so opinions were mixed. But there was a general consensus that it took too long to come out.

This hasn’t phased Remedy though, as evidenced by their DLC updates. Now, it seems we may be getting a sequel.

DSO Gaming reports that Remedy’s registration of the domain “ALANWAKE2.COM”, though dating back to 2005, has been recently updated. This is in tune with recent repors that Remedy is working on something new.

The question, however, is how viable this would be. Alan Wake was developed over a period of a several years, and didn’t exactly set the gaming market on fire. In fact, it gained notoriety at the time for selling less than a 100,000 units at launch. The series has since reached sales of 2 million, but it took 2 years to get to this point.

If it really is Alan Wake 2, then one wonders how things will turn out now.
